ENGINEERING

PROJECT PHASE

  • Field Development Plan â€” Petroneering involve in technology development of offshore platform with focus on marginal field development. Petroneering is able to provide a wide range of services in relation to subsea engineering and surface facility that fit both technical and economical.

  • FEED and Detailed Engineering — Designed as the engineering deliverables needed to estimate cost, project scope definition, project funding and budget completion, total cost of ownership, implementation timeline and initial risk assessment (i.e.: hazardous operations reviews) as related to the engineering, procurement and construction of facilities.

  • Clinical Technical Oversight Representative — Provides competency-based management and supervisory oversight activities to assure quality of care of technical operations of installed systems.

  • Third Party Verification — An independent validation of engineering designs, plans, analyses or methodologies produced by others. The intent is to ensure equipment is properly maintained and that any modifications or upgrades to the equipment conducted after delivery have not compromised the design or operations of the systems.

  • Post-Installation Analysis — Technical aspects related to the proper test record selection for post-installation analysis considering the capacity evaluation of foundation elements and is performed under impacts of the pile driving hammer or a special large drop weight loading device.

  • Field Feasibility Studies â€” The objective of a feasibility study for field development either onshore or offshore, is to select an optimum production system for the operator. Feasible by definition is that which is capable of being done, carried out, used or dealt with successfully. To be feasible, the plan must be suitable, reasonable and practical within the limits of ability or capacity. In other Thus, any feasibility study must satisfy both technical capability and economic success. Onshore development does not generally require in-depth feasibility assessment, because the fields are usually more easily accessible and options are numerous. Exceptions would be locations in harsh environment areas such as arctic or very remote areas with non-existent infrastructure. However, both technical and economic feasibility must be carefully determined for offshore development, because the locations are not easily accessible and development costs are exceptionally high in comparison to onshore development.

FACILITY DESIGN AND ANALYSIS

  • Mooring Design and Analysis â€” Petroneering is capable of performing design analyses using advanced numerical techniques covering a broad range of issues pertinent to the design and installation of mooring systems. Petroneering has extensive experience in the analysis of the dynamics of a wide range of hull forms (tanker based FPSO, Spar, Semi-Submersible, TLP, Barges, CALM) and riser (flexible riser systems) / mooring (chain, wire rope, synthetic rope) systems over the full range of water depths, complemented by our model testing capabil

  • Pipeline Design and Riser Analysis — Petroneering is able to perform detailed dynamic analyses for wide range of riser systems including: flexible risers, top-tensioned risers, steel catenary risers, hybrid risers, and single leg offset risers. Petroneering has a recognised expertise in the theory describing the processes affecting pipelines and in the application of the numerical techniques available to address such problems.

  • Naval Architecture/Hydrodynamics â€” Petroneering is able to provide a range of naval architectural expertise to clients ranging from Hull Form Analysis, Design (Hydrodynamic & Hydrostatic) & Selection, Sea Keeping Analysis, Intact and Damage Stability Analysis, Vessel Motions & Green Water Effects Analysis, Coupled Body Response Analysis, Mooring & Riser System Analysis, Vessel Conversions, Development of Model Testing Program, Verification Support.

  • Field Architecture — Technical design of field development that captures the requisite assets such as equipments to enable optimized planning and scheduling for.

  • Coastal Engineering — An assessment of the processes ongoing at the shoreline and construction within the coastal zone. The field involves aspects of nearshore oceanography, marine geology, and civil engineering, often directed at combating erosion of coasts or providing navigational access.

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) — Petroneering has applied its CFD capabilities to a wide range of projects including analysis of flow over ship hulls, vortex induced vibration, scouring around offshore platform, spar motion,. Petroneering Consulting is able to support clients by offering the following services relating to CFD.

  • Fire and Blast Modeling â€” Petroneering’s personnel has extensive experience in the modelling and simulation of fire and blast events, through both analysis and physical testing. Petroneering can perform a fully integrated design process, with the fire and blast modelling and simulation tools, which allow for the incorporation of all system components that will influence the outcome of a fire or blast scenario including gas dispersion, ventilation systems, fire detection and suppression systems and blast loading structural assessment.

  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) — The analyses (either in 2-D or 3-D modeling) based on a computer model of a material or design that is stressed and analyzed for specific results. It is used in new product design, and existing product refinement. A company is able to verify a proposed design will be able to perform to the client's specifications prior to manufacturing or construction. Modifying an existing product or structure is utilized to qualify the product or structure for a new service condition. In case of structural failure, FEA may be used to help determine the design modifications to meet the new condition.

  • Physical Model Testing â€” Petroneering offers a wide range of physical scale model testing services. Petroneering Consulting can bring to any testing program in physical scale model testing for the marine and offshore industries. Petroneering can also provide scale model testing services to address a wide range of issues through the design and construction of purpose built testing apparatus to suit specific requirements.

  • Structural Analysis — Petroneering is able to support clients on Design of Offshore & Onshore Structures/Components, Fatigue Analysis, Life Extension & Structural Upgrades Impact Analysis, Structural Analysis on jacket fixed structure, and Hydrodynamic Loading of Structural Systems.

  • Installation Analysis Support — Petroneering is able to provide analysis advice on the installation of mooring system, submarine hose, flexible lines, umbilicals, subsea hardware, structure transport and installation. With strong background in the areas of model testing, naval architecture, floating structures, risers, pipelines and metocean, Petroneering is able to apply practical solutions to complex models and simulate various installation operations prior to physical installation. Petroneering’s personnel has been working on float over analysis for many different kind scenarios.
